Review : WHAT A GREAT GENERAL PURPOSE GARDENING AND COLLECTING TOOL.
Over the years I have had several (four) of Hori-Hori knives. I must say that they have all been in almost constant use; more about that later.
The last one I bought, and am using at this time, is the knife being reviewed here. I picked it up at a local knife show...paying $25.00 (that was one year ago), so the price here is quite good.
Now previous models of this knife I have owned have all been made of stainless steel with plastic handles. Some cost more than this knife; some less. I have always been a bit dissatisfied with the previous knives for a number of reasons. First, the handle/blade set or fit has not always been the greatest. I am rather picky about that. Second, stainless steel, for me, is more difficult to sharpen. Third, all of the stainless steel blades I have tried have had a tendency to bend under hard use. (Actually, in my case I have to admit that I am hard on these tools and some folks could say that I more or less abuse them...with...
