Review : Excellent Tool
While tearing down an old shed on our property, the head on my trusty Grigsby sledgehammer finally showed its age and broke off from its wooden handle. Instead of running around and looking for a replacement handle I opted to pick up a lighter one. I started looking around and came across this brand at our local hardware store. Unfortunately they didn't have this 36" handle in stock. Surprisingly I found it on Amazon at about ten dollars cheaper. At that price I didn't mind waiting for the two day shipping.
Out of the box, it felt like I was holding a feather compared to my older 16 pounder. Length wise its the same 36 inches. I immediately found myself sold on the non slip rubber gripped handle. It has a great ergonomic feel to it and unlike my old wooden sledgehammer, I didn't have to keep re-taping the handle. This one offers zero slippage.
